The very first PeaceWorks Festival, for students of Classes 9 to
12 from schools all over the city, dealing with the issues that
are the scope of the PeaceWorks curriculum—Identity, Gender
and Human Rights.
Workshops in theatre, photography, music and film were organized
(from September to October 2008) to stimulate creative expressions
of social concern. The performances, photographs, music and films
produced during the workshop were presented throughout the city
between 7 and 9 November 2008.
The festival ended with a closing ceremony at La Martiniere for
Boys on 9 November 2008.
