Thomas Lehr has received a number of literary honors, including the Wolfgang-Koeppen-Preis (2000) and the Art Prize of Rheinland-Palatinate (2006) and his books include the award-winning Nabokovs Katze and 42. September was shortlisted for the German Book Prize (2011).
