Beatrix Campbell is an award-winning writer and broadcaster. Described as a 'great chronicler of our times', her books range from Wigan Pier Revisited: Poverty and Politics in the 80s (1984, winner of the Cheltenham Festival Literary Prize) to Agreement: The State, Conflict and Change in Northern Ireland (2008). She is a feminist and a Green Party Activist.
